UNBELIEVABLE. I loved this grill and there food. The amazing choices that you have are great. The food is so amazing I can’t explain it. The clams were like dessert and the Ruben is so rich and delicious. I highly recommend the Ruben, muscles and chowder. The view of the local harbor is also amazing, I saw a seal and many types of birds around the water and docks.

I’m so glad I found this place on a day of wandering. I am fortunate enough to have travelled all around and been able to try seafood all across the country. I only say that to emphasize the sincerity when I say they have one of the best seafood dishes I’ve ever tasted in my life. GREEN CURRY MUSSELS.I can’t stress enough how amazing that dish is. The perfect amount of spice, the coconut, the quality and freshness of the mussels themselves. Just perfect.Don’t get me wrong… The oysters were phenomenal. Crab cakes were everything you would want from a crab cake. The staff was ultra friendly. co*cktails were perfectly balanced. But those mussels… I dream of them. Literally have had dreams of having that dish again. Get the side of bread to dip with it, enjoy it,I look forward to ever finding myself in the area ever again and would recommend this to anyone and everyone. Top tier culinary experience.

This place was fantastic. In town on vacation, and my cousin only had one MUST try place on his list. Cozy atmosphere, incredibly attentive staff, and a wonderfully simple menu. Our server was an absolute delight. The food was delicious and was served quickly. The area surrounding the restaurant is quaint and adds to the overall experience. Toss in a superb drink menu, and you have a place I'm excited to recommend.

Had a great time at Front Street Grill over the weekend! Seriously, the views are just as good as the food, which is saying a lot because the seafood here is top-notch. Sat outside, overlooking Penn Cove, and it was stunning – made the food taste even better, if that's possible. We tried a few seafood dishes and each was better than the last; fresh, flavorful, and just perfectly cooked. Prices were reasonable for the quality and the setting. It's a chill spot, especially if you can catch a sunset. Definitely going back the next time I'm in Coupeville!

we went to this restaurant for dinner. if you are a seafood lover you will definitely like the menu. we waited about 30 min on a busy Wednesday night. the staff were welcoming and happy to be there. they didn't bat an eye when we came in with two babies and a 4 year old. they were great with kids. The food itself was out of this world. I had a waffle chicken sandwich with candied bacon and fried egg. my husband had a bbq bacon jalapeno raspberry Burger. the meals were filling and mouth watering delicious. it was kinda spendy for a family but definitely worth it for a date night. we Also had deep fried Mac and cheese and calamari strips for an appetizer

So worth the drive out! Gorgeous restaurant on the water, with an amazing view. The food is out of this world amazing! And the drinks absolutely blew me away. I'm not a big drinker either. However, the mixed drinks all sounded amazing and I couldn't pass up trying a few. Would absolutely come back.

This was so good! I had the Classic Italian fish stew in a tomato based sauce, brimming with fish, mussels, clams, and shrimp. Option to have it served with pasta or garlic bread. My sister had the mussels in a cream, herbs, and white wine sauce.There are about 5 window tables overlooking the bay and local art hanging on the walls for sale. Service was friendly and efficient. Was quite busy for week day lunch which says a lot.We parked at the town parking about a street above the town, a less than 5min walk.

We waited a LONG time for a table during their busy time, even after calling and being told we'd get in by 6pm; it was more like 7. Glad to get a table by the window and the Crab-Artichoke Dip with Garlic Bread (no pic) was savory and warmly comforting while waiting for our meals (4 of us). We ordered five things, and three had issues: our friend found a large piece of gnarly root, like 2" long x an inch wide, in her salad with side of crab cakes, and they did not comp the meal because it was 'only a piece of [inedible] plant root and we did remake the meal' - I asked for mgr and he comped the meal but spoke so fast and scurried away that I'm not sure overall what happened (an extra 20% off?) But she waited so long for the remake she got a to-go box and didn't even get to eat with us, aka NOT COOL. My daughter's Chicken and Waffles tasted great but was COLD. Her fiancee loved his salmon chowder and burger. My Flank Steak Salad was a huge pile of greens with five slices of tender steak buried in feta cheese for a huge price, so not impressed. Overall, the meal was very over-priced for what we got, and the quality of service friendly but sparse.

This place had great food and a fantastic view. The service was fast and friendly. We were a little surprised how pricey everything was but that’s not the restaurant’s fault.

Front Street Grill was a great place to grab mussels the other night! My biggest issue was choosing which ones to order. I ended up choosing the white wine mussels with the add-on linguini. I had a Sober Carpenter (N/A beer) to drink and the mixed berry cobbler (might not be the correct name) with ice cream for dessert. Everything was so delicious! I wanted to go back tonight to have dinner again, but decided to try a new place instead. The staff were friendly and the view out the window was beautiful. I will definitely come back and would recommend to family and friends.

We came here to try Penn Cove mussels for the first time…and it was delicious. I’ve been missing out my whole life! I highly suggest adding the garlic bread and linguine to your mussels so you can savour all the mussel flavour!We had to wait for our table but it was well worth the wait!

We recently stopped for lunch. The food and service were both fantastic! We had the caprese salad, the coconut green curry mussels, and the fired zucchini. Everything tasted great! I definitely recommend a visit.

I had a fantastic experience at the restaurant. The staff was outstanding and the food was cooked to perfection. I had the opportunity to try the Bobby burger and the Salmon. I highly recommend visiting!

Small seafood restaurant with a great feel. Wonderful selection of wines and seafood. I highly recommend the Mussels Rockefeller with extra garlic bread. Add linguini and it's enough to feed two people. I can't wait to go back.

Coupeville historic waterfont never disappoints, I love the colorful preserved pioneer homes. The wharf has a good variety of restaurants, my favorite is Front Street Grill. It offers good options plus a deck for sunny views of the Cascades and waterfront. The Chefs Seafood Soup & delicious local Oysters were delicious.

Terrific restaurant with an amazing menu and a wonderful waitstaff. Get them mussels! I’d never had before but the menu has an extensive list of choices. This is what they are known for is their mussel entrees. You won’t be disappointed! Nice atmosphere in a neat little town!

Great food and even better service. The restaurant is cozy so it can get a little loud. We had the Ruben and their signature green curry mussels and both were incredible. If you like a little pucker (like I do) try their lavender lemonade martini, it was perfect!

Food was 5 star all the way.Taste delicious and beautifully presented. The seafood chowder was full of seafood and probably one of the best I've ever had.Service was acceptable however our server could have used some training on her wines. At this level a server should be able to suggest a wine pairing when customers are unfamiliar with the list. Especially when many of the wines are sold by the bottle. As it was the wine we chose was delicious.

I have traveled all over the world, so how lucky am I that my absolute favorite restaurant is on the island I live on?!Every dish is both beautiful and delicious!I love the open kitchen concept so you can actually see the chefs preparing your meal!My favorite is the rack of lamb, but I have had almost everything on the menu and it is ALL amazing!Treat yourself to the fondue as a starter and most definitely save room for dessert!I also highly recommend ordering whatever they have as a "special".It's definitely the nicest restaurant on the island and surrounding areas!

Everything was excellent! Everyone was friendly and the chef made sure to greet everyone when we were there. Defintely one of the spots to go to when you're on Whidbey Island.

Exceptional dining experience. Everything about this meal at Fraser's was too notch. Service, food, atmosphere were all comparable to any fine dining anywhere. Duck breast was prepared perfectly, and was swimming in a delectable sauce with large egg noodles. Shrimp and Crab lasagna was "off-the-chain" good. Not even a hint of "fishiness". Scallops were cooked perfectly with a beautiful risotto. Don't forget dessert! Delectable - the pastry chef should get a Michelin star alone!Can't wait to go back!

My wife and I had our anniversary/Valentine's Day dinner at Frasers last night and we thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The food was excellent, the service was superb, and the environment was upscale but comfortable. Every member of the staff was exceptionally personable and accommodating. If you want a fine dining experience on Whidbey Island, whether you're visiting or a resident, I highly recommend Frasers. Not only is it the best dining experience we've had on the Island but it rivals upscale restaurants I've been to in Seattle, San Francisco, Los Angeles, etc. Outstanding experience - Thank you!

Perhaps the finest dining in Oak Harbor, but make sure you have a reservation; or get there early to grab a seat at the bar.The staff was very kind & the cooks were a hoot. All the entrees looked amazing & I can vouch for how good the lamb is, however the star dish was definitely the creme brulee.Without a doubt, we will be back!

I rarely review place on the first visit. But this was fantastic and I'm not sure when I'll be back. The garlic crusted short ribs were amazing, I might get two orders of those for an entree my next visit. I would absolutely get the rack of lamb again. My friend got the special that had lobster tail and scallops I would probably get that if they had it again next time.

High class in every way. Beautiful, delicious food. Awesome service. Very nice atmosphere. Highly recommend for fancy date night, or just to have a fresh, high quality meal.

Lovely patio overlooking Puget Sound. The staff and owner were amazing, very friendly and welcoming. The penne with filet mignon was very flavorful and the steak was cooked to perfection. The lemon tiramisu was also fantastic.

Overall the food & drinks were great. The carbonara was swimming in too much butter, but everything else was delicious and they have a great selection of wine and co*cktails. The setting is very casual and staff is friendly.

Service was great but food not so much. Food is too expensive for the quality it is. Steak is not worth $48, their med rare came out med well. Their Pappardelle pasta and calamari were too bland. Their tiramisu is more of a lemon cake with chocolate savings on top than a tiramisu. Their drinks were good though.

Flatbread was outstanding! Service was wonderful and Ambiance perfect for a table of one!

My husband and I haven’t been on a fancy date night in a while and I chose this place for us to go to. Was not disappointed at all. We got the family style dinner which was a four course meal. Definitely worth the $60 per person. We saw photos online saying $50 per person but the price going up didn’t bother us as we wanted to try something new anyways since the four course meal is entirely up to the chef. The Chef delivered each and every course and explained what was in it. Each course that came out was timed so well. We did not feel rushed to eat. We were able to take home what we wouldn’t eat which was huge for us. Most places that have meals like this, don’t allow you to take home what you couldn’t eat before getting the next course and they take back what you didn’t eat. But here at Rustica, they boxed our food for us after asking if we could take it home to save room for the next courses coming out. The atmosphere was romantic and cozy. Everything about this was great! This was an exceptionally wonderful date night and experience. We will be coming back!

Found this gem on vacation with our new puppy. Nice atmosphere on the curbside pet friendly patio. Fun place, good service and we loved that the menu had more appetizers than entrees. We ordered tapas and shared several items

Oh my gosh it hurts me to say this because our server was lovely, but God was the food bad. It was so bad I had to leave a review. And very expensive. We paid over $100 and the lasagna was really really bad. Lasagna with pork…. And the shrimp scampi spaghetti was ABSOLUTELY unseasoned and over cooked. I liked the waitress she was lovely but the food quality was absolutely atrocious. Worst I’ve had in years. I actually don’t think I’ve ever left a negative review but this restaurant was such a bummer.

The first time we came to Rustica, roughly a year and a half ago, it was a fantastic experience. The next time we went, last night, was awful. Arrived and had to wait a few minutes to be seated, which is absolutely fine; however, I noticed that there were 3 “servers” for ~15 tables. I say, “servers” because they were also the people acting as hosts, bussers, and bartenders. Once we were sat it took nearly 10 minutes for our server to acknowledge us, he came to get our drink order, but we called him back to order food as well since we were ready. We ordered a Pepsi, water, cheese bread and 2 chicken alfredo’s. The server then went to put in the order, and bus a table before disappearing. About 10 minutes later we got our cheese bread at the same time as our drinks. The cheese bread, admittedly, was pretty good, had a hint of smokiness which was interesting - definitely the highlight of the night. 15 minutes later we got our chicken Alfredo’s, they were incredibly bland, I’m 90% sure the chef forgot to put Parmesan in the dish at all. The chicken was cooked well but had no flavor and there wasn’t that much of it. We asked for our check when we received our food and our server was quick to bring a check but not refill the Pepsi that had been empty since before our entrees arrived. $70 for some cheese bread, bland pasta, and what would amount to be roughly a can of Pepsi. I didn’t immediately sign because we were still eating, but a few minutes later he tried to come back to take the check book before I had signed. The only thing this server was concerned about was getting a tip, not actually making customers happy to get that tip. Super disappointing evening here.

Galentines dinner was a smash hit with the crew at Rustica. Our bartender was on point with her drinks, and a warm welcoming smile. Our waiter and buser were classy, fun and very attentive. Mercedes made the night feel like we were just guests in her home. Oh and the food!?My steak was wonderfully seasoned and cooked to perfection.

Went there for dinner on a Saturday evening recently. Some of the best Italian food we've ever eaten. Owner and her husband are wonderful hosts. The cioppino was terrific, as was the lasagna and scampi. Leave room for their cannoli - big enough to split. And the decor/atmosphere is really something. Check out the custom wood art scattered throughout. Definitely will go back. (Be warned tho - in this part of Oak Harbor parking is hard to find; be prepared to walk.)

Service started out good and by the end our server stopped coming to our table. The food was alright although my husband found a long hair in his food… the drinks were too spicy and not very enjoyable (we had bloody Mary’s/Caesars). Too expensive after all things considered

Food is of good quality but the cooking, flavoring/spicing is so so. My wife's chicken alfredo had pieces of chicken with gristle and the alfredo sauce did not smell or taste like any we have had before. My panini had chicken breast meat of good quality but the sandwich was excessively dry and hard to break apart/chew. It's cheese needed to be less cooked with some sauce added. lasagna variable from poor to just ok.Service was good but the price was out of line for the food quality delivered.

This is a great spot for a tasty lunch or an upscale dinner. The atmosphere is rustic chic complete with wood panel walls, copper backsplash at bar side, and rusty metal siding wall panels. The food is delicious and certainly worth the stop. Try their specialty co*cktails, beers, and wine. If you're in Oak Harbor, come visit this darling spot!

Ok first things first, this is a small business, so if you want fast food, and low prices go to McDonald's. The food, drinks and water came to us in a good amount of time. I would say we waiting not even 3 minutes for water, ordered our food and good good quality food in about 10 or 15 minutes. The food was wonderful. But if you like boring and no robust food again go to McDonald's. This uses flavors throughout its menu. Again not cheap it is a great date night once a month for dinner and good for lunches.

Hokkaido style ramen 🍜 with lots of flavors. The noodles were cooked to perfection and the chashus were tender and juicy. Highly recommend this place when visiting Langley.Just fyi that ramen is $20 per bowl. Still worth it.

Super good eats with very friendly staff and owner :) Love that the ramen broth isn't too salty and for us, the portion size is just perfect. The vegetarian broth was lighter than the pork black garlic ramen, but still had lots of creamy flavor and lots of yummy fillings. Mango ice cream mochi afterwords also hit the spot, and they have a very impressive and long list of beverages! The onigiri sampler was very good, filling and simple and each flavor was great (in particular I loved the sour plum). The fried gyoza were also juicy and crispy with a great dipping sauce. And lastly, their vegetable bowl was filling and hearty while also feeling very nutritious and nourishing. Also love their logo design and merchandise, and will be back to try their natto bowl and more ^^

Delicious ramen, complimentary edamame. I recommend the spicy miso, it wasn't too spicy. Sissy the kale noodles were tasty. Perfect spot for a rainy day, or date night, or meet with friends.Atmosphere is artistic and beachy with bright paint and trendy art.Service was friendly and attentive in the right ways.You can bring kids here if they're into ramen. There's lots of fun snacks and drinks that would appeal to a kid in the grocery part.You can get vegetarian here but it's limited. You can park by city hall, so parking is pretty easy.

This is the best dining experience we’ve had on Whidbey Island… and the best we’ve had since the beginning of the pandemic. The service is fantastic and the food is amazing. There is a gluten free option!! It’s amazing! I haven’t left without buying a ton of cute Japanese merch. They even have a natto bowl! For someone who lived in Okinawa and ate natto every single morning, it’s nice to have natto again.

super yummy place! my dad says it’s the best ramen he’s had since he went to japan! i had the spicy miso ramen which was a perfect spiciness, probably equivalent to a 1 star. pork was super tender! you can also trade out ingredients, so if you don’t like something you can add more of your favs to your ramen! didn’t get a photo of the pork gyoza but they were the best gyoza i’ve ever had, soft and chewy and a little crispy on the bottom, which was perfect! lovely cute place!

We re-feel the japan vibes!! Worth the drive! The rắmen’s are superb. The best thing about this place is, it has a little play area on the side for kids. That really occupied our babies 😁

We live on the island and have had several great meals at Ultra House both in the restaurant and as takeout. The food is really good, they have a nice selection of sake and imported beers, and the staff has always been very friendly. The Tonkotsu signature ramen is delicious and takes you on a journey of tastes and textures. I personally don't visit without grabbing some of the gyoza pork dumplings as well - they're perfectly cooked with a crispy bottom and deliciously seasoned pork. If you don't want ramen but still want something to warm your soul, the miso soup is delicious and fairly hearty with tofu, scallions, seaweed, and shiitake mushrooms. They also have lots of imported snacks and treats from Japan at the counter area, so it's fun to try a few new mystery snacks each time we visit.Know that this place is tiny and very popular. They run out of tables quickly, so have some patience and don't expect to be seated right away during the dinner rush. They also have limited hours and days of operation (welcome to Whidbey Island). They do a really good job of packing takeout orders if you'd rather grab and go!

Excellent spot for lunch and a cold one! Inside the old Historic Whitbey Mercantile Co building, the atmosphere is very unique and inviting. Lots of locals hanging out with many lively conversations happening at once. The Bar was crowded and loud, and the plates and glasses were coming out quickly. The energy here is awesome, and the food... satisfying! My beer was cold and my fries.. hot! Highly recommend for the experience and the locals inside! Cool place! Great food!

The BEST fresh Penn Cove steamed mussels in a delicious white wine sauce.The Ling cod fish and chips is a huge winner showing up with no signs of oil.The chowder gets high marks as well.Gorgeous views of Penn Cove.Full of charm , great service, during high season Toby's is so popular, long lines form outside to get a table.Love, love, love Toby's.You will not be disappointed.

Friendly staff at this cozy bar and restaurant. The seafood chowder and bread were excellent, and the beer selection is great too. No dogs and kids under 21 as this is a bar.

I went with a friend who highly recommended Toby's. However we were both very disappointed in the food. We had stopped at front Street bar and grill and had an appetizer and it was awesome. I did like the old tavern feel Toby's had... I had the fish and chips and they were soaked in grease and looked like soggy egg rolls. My friends got the bucket of muscles and they had a weird taste. Needless to say we sent everything back... We should have stayed at Front Street. 😉😉😉

It was a nice, sunny Friday. While taking my normal walk at lunch, passing Toby's I read their special Muscle stew with Bread. They were very busy, I had to wait about 10 minutes for my to go order. Walked back to work, sat down at my desk and enjoyed my tasty stew with toasted bread and cookie.

Great food and such an awesome location. We had their lobster bisque which was fantastic and their haddock fish & chips. Only critique is the bread that came with the bisque was very greasy but highly recommend both dishes. Also try their red ale. Really good beer. I took off one star due to the service. The other comments about the waitresses resembling Carla were accurate.

Man, I feel weird giving them a low rating. The meal I just had deserved 1 star, but I've had the mussels before, and they're amazing.The fries were good!The bacon on the burgers was those precooked strips, tartar straight from a bottle. Not a big deal, but disappointing for the price.Then there's the fish... Both soggy and undercooked batter, that just peeled off, with overcooked rubbery fish, and no seasoning.We ate it within 5 minutes of it coming out of the kitchen, it didn't sit around or anything.It was a bummer, we drove out of our way to come here, the staff was really friendly, but most of that fish went in the trash.

Stop here for some fresh mussels or chowder. Other menu options as well in a bar/restaurant atmosphere. Interesting history to the building as well. Very casual. Plenty of seating but could get pretty busy in season.

Burgers/sandwiches do not come with a side by default. First place I’ve seen this. If you want a side it’s roughly $3-$5 extra.My daughter ordered a chicken sandwich and got a jumbo chicken breast. I’m all about extra food but really…it could have been trimmed. A whole breast as the patty ends up being dry.Taste is alright. Nothing special.

There should be a rating for cleanliness...Atmosphere was pretty cool. As you'd expect, lots of jets as a tribute to the local naval air station.Problem was their bathrooms were not clean (do they not clean them daily, clearly not) which makes you wonder how clean their kitchen was... Perhaps they spend all of their time cleaning the kitchen??I can't comment on the food as we were only there for their beer/cider. Oh btw they were out of or discontinued three of their beers. That was sad.

Wings were immaculate. The sauce is all homemade and the wings themselves have a good amount of meat on the bones. Had the double dipper sauce and loved it. The New England style Clam Chowder is the best I’ve had on the west coast since coming to Seattle from Maine. Very filling and full of clams. Not the liquid heavy bs you get at other places. The beer was also very good and their happy hour makes it that much better. The red ale (seasonal unfortunately) was incredible. This place SLAPS and I would highly recommend coming here for a beer, food or both!

We were a party of eleven and enjoyed our selections very much! The menu had a great variety and everyone was well satisfied with their choice! Ashley was our server and she was very helpful and patient with our questions. She was one of the best servers any of us could remember and she really added to our enjoyment! We will definitely be back - not only for the food, but for such a great server! You are fortunate to have such an excellent employee!

Wow ... pleasantly surprised. A legit aviator bar and grill. Had lunch here one day and came back for dinner several times. Full bar, and attentive & friendly staff. Yes, it's bar & grill food ... but after several trips and trying multiple menu items, I was never disappointed and kept coming back. Definitely in my top 2 for Whidbey Island when I'm not going out to one of their expensive Italian or seafood places.

We order food for takeout here frequently. It’s always been good and orders are accurate. Prep time has also been very quick, usually 10-15 minutes from the time I call in to when it’s ready.The Mac and Cheese is great. Club sandwich is solid. Every burger I’ve had from here is awesome - the mustang and havoc burgers are favorites.

We took 3 Grandchildren for seafood here. We checked the menu first, as our group of 5, travel-weary & hungry, was sadly disappointed to find Flyers had none of the seafood on their menu. The kids had burgers, we had a less than stellar clam chowder. The waiter told my 7 yo granddaughter hers came with a side, which we were then charged 4 bucks for. The burgers were "pretty good, but not what I wanted." We left unsatisfied, and then I found out my son was on business in that area & had the same dismal experience. The wait staff had bad attitudes. We won't be back & will advise others not to eat here.

ABSOLUTELY worth every dime. Ordered the fried oysters, broccoli and mushroom Mac & cheese, honey traditional wings, and the chilli cheese tater tots. Owner served us and was kind. All great with amazing service and atmosphere! Mr. Jason your efforts into creating a peaceful atmosphere with great food has proven effective!

The fact that they don’t take reservations is horrible! They can’t figure out how to fit a group that’s been waiting a while for over an hour when originally they said it would be a 15 min wait. I’m going to go out ahead of time and say I doubt the food makes up for this. They just lost 20 plus customers.

This was a nice place to have a beer and watch the football game on the big screens all around the room. The service was good. My sandwich, although it looked beautiful, was not at all tasty. I chose from their seasonal special menu. It was an Ahi sandwich. The flavors didn't go together at all. My partner's fried calamari was delicious though. Maybe I just picked something that wasn't their specialty.

I was craving a really good burger so when I searched online what the best burger spots in town were, Flyers was listed as one of the best on the island. I searched the menu online and knew what I wanted before going in. I was promptly seated and gave my order right away. A few minutes later my Havoc burger and side of Seattle fries with Garlic Aioli sauce came out. Everything looked amazing. The onion ring was crispy. The pickles onion and tomato were on the side as noted on the menu. Fries were seasoned well with Parmesan and garlic. But my burger was a bit overcooked. I ordered it medium and It came out a little burnt. I cut my burger in half and did not see any pink inside. Even the bun was a bit charred from the grill. Regardless, the food was delicious and the fries were too much for me to finish. I had to double check I ordered a side and not a starter when I received my bill. Will definitely eat here again.

We had a great experience at Pickles. Good food and friendly, hardworking staff. Yes,there might be a line, but I like their model of order at the counter and they deliver to your table. If there is a line, it got longer after we ordered, look at your phone or just hangout because it is worth it. We shared a club and it was delicious.

Visiting the Island from Texas having lived in Coupeville for a number of years and wanting a bite to eat before driving all the way up the island.We’re so glad we stopped here. We were there with my sisters three small children and the staff was so accommodating, patient and incredibly friendly.Ordered 6 sandwiches (one of them on Gluten Free bread), a few pickles, sodas and tea. My GF sandwich was phenomenal. The bread was sturdy, and very tasty.Their pickles are delicious! A must try.Thank you again for such great service and wonderful food.

Considering myself a "Pickle Aficionado", Pickles Deli hits all of the right notes! Excellent pickles, what looks like wonderful fresh sandwiches. Excellent customer service, and the Bagel joint (Whidbey Island Bagel Factory) next door makes for a complete stop. We live in Bellingham but I am seriously considering road trips when in need of pickles, I will just need to pack a cooler so these little gems get back home safely. Pickles Deli gives you just that, PICKLES, and so much more!! OH and did I mention the customer service is EXCELLENT!!

for starters the garlic pickle was gross and soggy no crunch! the pepperoncini pickle was delicious and crunchy as well as the black peppercorn ... that was my favorite one! the roast beef and havarti sandwich aas good but very over powered on the dijon.. wish i could of tasted the rosmary bread with my sandwhich! and the guava passionfruit smoothie 10/10 ... the broccoli cheddar soup needed more salt but once added was perfect and creamy

Yeah you have to wait in line to order yout food but it is well worth the wait. Amazing sandwiches, smoothies and yes they even have beer! Great staff nice and clean.

Don't be shy, eat lunch at Pickles. Chowabunga this food is delicious! Wraps, sandwiches, paninis, so much good stuff. Study the menu and then go for it, so many choices and options. Hip atmosphere and super friendly staff. Fair prices, a good value for lunch. Delicious food, highly recommended.

We're on vacation snd stopped in after bike riding to have lunch. The Vietnamese bowl was delicious, full of flavor and large enough to share. The club sandwich was made on homemade bread and also delicious. We had fresh fruit smoothies which were definitely fresh. Definitely recommend 👌

I called in my order driving through which was the Thanksgiving leftovers and chicken ceaser wrap. Sad to say one of the sandwiches didn't go to who it was intended because the wrap I wanted fell short of expectations as the lettuce not only tasted bad but the lettuce was brown and needed to be thrown out and for the price of 26$ for the two sandwiches I expected more. Thanksgiving leftover was amazing definitely made me forget about the wrap for a bit so I appreciate that! Servers were friendly but I gave the three stars because of the price and how the wrap was not close to expectations.

This was the most fantastic food / dining experience. Measured up to a Michelin star most definitely. I would highly recommend and even come back to Langley just to eat here again. My only struggle was that it took 20 minutes to get my beer after we were seated. It was one of those days when I really needed it sooner. Thanks for the incredible experience.

Was I impressed, absolutely! Was I blown away, not quite. But would I go back, hell yes!This was a true farm to fork experience, they explained every ingredient, where it came from and why it played a special part of the meal. They impressively partner all up and down the island for local resources to stay true to the ideas and values they want to bring to life. Our only feedback was the wines came out too far in advance of the courses and they were not presented consistently or with the bottle so we could possibly go find them. Maybe it was a staffing thing, but we never felt they were rushed which was also nice, they had time to chit chat which we always love.

We had dinner at Orchard Kitchen with friends and it was amazing meal and experience. The setting is gorgeous; it felt like we were in the south of France. The courses were perfectly spaced and just the right amount of food. There was a lot of variety and everything was absolutely delicious. The eating area is situated between two beautiful flowerbeds and all in all it made for a perfect evening. This is much more than wonderful food, it’s a memorable, relaxing and lovely dining experience.

We came here for a wedding reception and the food was very good They had many new things I had never tried before and each one was tasty and presented professionally. The dinner was outside with canopy screens with everyone at one long table. The service was excellent.

We attended on our 1st Anniversary, seated at the Chefs Counter. The food, atmosphere was exceptional.

We went on a Thursday for a three course pre fixe menu and really enjoyed the experience and the food. The menu rotates with the season, but we enjoyed our Spring inspired food: an oyster with bacon appetizer, salad of some greens with beets & radishes, and bavette steak with au gratin potatoes.

Food crafted with care and farm fresh ingredients. Great wines and excellent service. All in a rustic chic and peaceful setting. We cancelled our Willows Inn reservation after the NYT expose. The always excellent Inn at Langley suggested we try Orchard Kitchen instead. What a wonderful recommendation that made our celebration ever more memorable. Thank you to the chef and staff also for taking covid precautions seriously. Will be back soon.

Orchard Kitchen surpassed all of our high expectations. Friendly and funny waitstaff, an engaging chef and team, and creative food using their own grown food first. Every course was fantastic and I can't wait to go back on our next trip to Whidbey.

Worth going to check it out. The seabiscuit Cafe has delicious food, bakes their own bread and pastries and brews Mukilteo coffee. Some of the best in the PNW. Take the ferry and visit and I promise you will enjoy this place for a quiet cup of amazing coffee and delicious baked goods.

Great stop in an out of the way location. Small band playing. Cute little garden area outside for seating. Attractive inside decor, though we chose to sit outdoors. The coffee was great and the pastries and breakfast sandwich pastries were excellent! A little short of help as are many places these days. Worth the wait!! Would definitely go here again.

Half the time I show up to enjoy their good food and nice atmosphere they are closed early and will not serve. Even though online their hours may be listed until 3 PM they will often close before noon. If you decide to make the trip be sure to call and clarify their hours for the day.

The best people are at Mukilteo Coffee Roasters! I love coming up to see the roasting and have the freshest roasted coffee. I was a commercial customer for years and I got top notch service from the owners all the way down to the delivery people. Keep roasting!!

If I was ranking the food or atmosphere only it would be 5 stars. Great food unfortunately does not equal great service. Overall I have to rank them at 3 stars. You order at a counter where before any service is provided you pay and are expected to give a tip. I enjoy tipping well for good service, but good service is not waiting in line to order, getting your own drinks, getting your own silverware, cleaning up the table after you eat and the expectation you will scrape your own plates. While the staff was friendly, our only interaction with them was the lady who took our order at the counter and the one who brought our food. Expect to pay medium to high price for the food which is well worth the cost. There were 5 of us in my group and not one complaint on the quality or content of the food.

A delightful surprise! I was driving around looking for a place to eat because my original goal was closed and I’m so glad I stopped here! The owner utilizes locally owned 3 Sisters meat and produce and the quality shines! The chili was the best chili I have had in a really long time and the wait staff was sure to pass on the message which “Made [the chef’s] day!” If you’re looking for some great home cooking and a relaxed and clean environment, please add Freeland Café to your plans.

We were warmly greeted in this small cafe by Deb the owner and seated in the bar area. Nancy was the bartender/server. I guess it had been a busy morning by the time we arrived because Nancy forgot to ring our order in. We had to wait in total an hour to eat and the server and owner apologized promptly. It was kind of annoying but we had no energy to leave and patiently waited for our meal. I had the eggs Benedict and they were tasty. The pancakes are huge and I felt like we kind of got upsold to get two each for me and my mom. They were still delicious and I appreciated Deb discounting our meal on account of the wait. Super cool cafe and vibes. They do have takeout, accessible parking, and outdoor seating which is nice.

Breakfast not as good as it used to be. It was busy and had to sit in the bar. Getting coffee was like pulling eye teeth. If we were regulars 9 coukd see getting much better service. If I asked something i got the feeling she was perturbed

Loved this place. The food was delicious and plentiful, staff checked on us frequently despite being busy and the kids got crayons and a coloring page. They even had toddler books to keep them entertained while waiting - bonus points for that one! Home-style atmosphere and food, beautiful mugs on display to buy, spacious seating. Reasonable prices considering the portions.Highly recommended.

This is such a cute little place. Came on a Sunday morning and got the eggs Benedict and it was soooo good. I ate all of it, which is rare.. only reason I didn't give 5 stars on the food is because my hashbrowns were kinda cold and they tasted like they were old and had been sitting for awhile, but other then that, we enjoyed it. Under $30 for our breakfast!

We didn't even wait a minute to get service. The gravy is soooo good. We ate with our sandwich and fries and everything we could. Nice little patio we could take our dog onto too. They gave us water and a snack for our puppers.

Quaint and friendly service. Food is solid. Some of the reviews on here seem to forget this is a small town diner their food is home cooked.Relax and enjoy your coffee a story about who's cows are lose or who hit a seagull this week. Fairly good food overall, and cozy interior. The Buffalo wings were really good, esp in ranch. The best things were definitely the burgers with very crispy tater tots and dipping sauce! The salad was okay, chicken was pretty tough and on the dry side.The mussels we got were getting cold and they were tough and a bit overcooked. Also not sure if their ventilation system was broken, but it was very smoky inside the entire time. Lots of dry eyes all around. The waitress was nice to open the front door sometimes but it would smoke up in moments after closing again and felt pretty stuffy. My parents who are regulars said the mussels are usually better so maybe we just got a little unlucky today...?

Worth the Drive! We decided to drive south of Coupeville, and wanted to find a fun, family-friendly restaurant with a wide variety of food. We did!We enjoyed burgers, tacos, a bunch of mussels, and a Cubano. They have a great selection of beer on tap, and the drink cooler has lots of options for folks not in the mood for a drink.The staff is friendly and the service quick, I could see it being quite busy in the summer. The bar was almost packed and the atmosphere was welcoming.

Overall we loved (and were pleasantly surprised) by our dinner. They quickly accommodated our larger family group of 7. The server was friendly and helpful, live music made for a good atmosphere, and food came out quick. Most importantly, the food was AWESOME. I recently opened a Better Homes and Gardens McKenzie Realty office in Bayview and after taking my sister and brother-in-law down to see it as they were visiting from out of town, we decided to go grab a bit to eat and a beer as every time I drive by this place it is full of people and I kept meaning to stop by to check it out. Having said that, we met Francesca who owns the place and waited on us. Not only was she super friendly and cool, the place had a great vibe and the food was great. I also liked that she had serval non-alcoholic beers to pick from! Great place and worth the visit for sure and I will definitely be back! Actually I did go back with my wife and had another fantastic meal and great service at our now special table/spot!!

Best nachos EVER. My boyfriend and I usually pop in and share the 1/2 order of pub nachos with flank... which is a very generous portion.... plenty of toppings down to the very last chip. It's crazy good. They also have one of the best beer selections on the island. It's the only place I consistently find a gose or sour beer in tap, so thank you for that!!! ❤️

The food here is really good to stop and get a bite to eat and cold beer. Kid-friendly and separate bar and family side. It's located in a small strip mall type of location and has plenty of parking as long as the farmers market is not going on Sat Sunday till 2:00 pm. Live music and lots of crafts.

Very Overpriced and slow service (45 minutes to get 4 plates of pasta), hard to get the attention of waiters (even if there was 4 of them in a half empty restaurant).Food was mediocre, overcooked, over spicy or blunt, small portions, and bread accompanying the plates was the cheapest you can get. As an Italian, very disappointed.Please, please: improve. I can tell you that cooking Alfredo or tomato sauce is easy, focus on making it right. You are the only Italian restaurant around: be up to the standards.

What a surprise to find a perfectly perfect Italian restaurant in the most unlikely cubby town of Coupeville, WA on Whidbey Island, N West of Seattle. My favorite meal on earth is spaghetti and meat balls. How hard can it be to find a truly good plate of them? Hard! I will pass on a wagyu steak in favor of a meatball in a heartbeat, any day of the week. While a good meatball isn’t “that” difficult to find, good perfectly cooked pasta IS difficult to find, even at the best restaurants I’ve been to coast to coast and in Europe. So it’s almost a game with me to keep up the expectation that an Italian restaurant can be expected to serve good pasta and believe me “Ciao” came through in spades. The sauce was perfectly balanced with the pasta, which wasn’t gooey, overcooked or pasty tasting. It tasted like my own homemade pasta that I labor over all day. The meatball was outstanding with even consistency and flavor that made my mouth water for more. The sauce…. Perfect.We also ordered the homemade flatbread with olive dip. Did I already use the word outstanding?After traveling through Coupeville and staying there on many occasions, I have no idea how we passed this restaurant on Main Street so many times. Maybe I was looking straight ahead at the water. But finding this restaurant with such a wonderful menu, wine list, staff and Chris the bartender has made me a fan for life.Parking is practically outside the front door.Check out the homemade pastas for sale and their excellent wine selection. It’s difficult to find an interesting Chianti but they have a nice one on the shelf. Even Hannibal Lecter would be impressed.I’ll be trying their Italian sandwich tomorrow for lunch.Like my review if it helped. It encourages me to keep writing about these small home grown out of the way restaurants I run into on my way across the states.

Had a meal here the other day. I really enjoyed myself. We had a bottle of the Chianti, the garlic bread, gnocchi and pizza. The service was super good and kind and prompt. I didn’t love the pizza but I did love the gnocchi.

From the moment you walk in the door, we were greeted hello and acknowledged with smiles. We walked our way upstairs and had a nice view of Coupeville with the water in the background. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive. We both ordered pizza and had cheese cake for dessert. Absolutely delicious wood fired. Will be back again to try other items.

Quite a nice Italian restaurant for such a small town. They were able to accommodate 12 of us for dinner. I ordered the ravioli with meat sauce which was good. IMHO the sauce was the best part of the dish, the ravioli was good but the sauce was excellent! My wife chicken Alfredo is what you would expect at a decent Italian spot. They also had a lot of nice gelato choices as well as a small market below the restaurant.

Ciao is truly authentic and delicious! I want to try everything on the menu but sometimes I can't help but order my favorite eggplant sandwich (so unique and yummy!). Every single thing is wonderful, wholesome, delicious and real. The staff is great, the dining is great, food is amazing... the best I've had outside of Italy where I have lived.

Very cute restaurant, was sat upstairs in the patio as requested, and the view was nice. Workers were friendly and answered our questions about the food kindly. The food was extremely delicious, tried the shrimp scampi pasta and their special pasta topped with roasted pig, red onions, bbq sauce, and a variety of cheese. We also served wine, I appreciated the male server asking us if it was flat since he didn't see bubbles when he poured the drink and got us new ones. Our server gave us great tips about her favorite items on the menu. It was an overall satisfying experience, we will definitely be back!

Yummy italian restaurant on the island! They went out of their way to accommodate the vegan in our party making modifications to the dishes on the menu. Their lasagnas and coop pink are delicious. It is a bit on a pricey side, but the quality is very good. And the view of the bay from the top floor is amazing!

This place has gone down hill extremely fast.I gave this three separate chances (ordering for 6 people each time.) All three orders (curb side pick up) something was forgotten in the order. This last time we literally through out $60 worth of food. The chicken fajitas- the chicken is terrible, the sauce is meh….The chicken Cesar salad- take it off your menu. The dressing was so bad we debated if it was even “good” as in serve-able good.This place is really hard to gauge due to the 5 star reviews, mixed with the 1&3’s…. This is a solid 1 star. It appears it makes enough money though as there isn’t any change in service. Reading through the negative comments- they are all stating the same thing. Someone needs to get on board with this place and help bring it back to how it used to be 10-5+ years ago….

*** Each person has a different taste ***We went there on Thursday for dinner, the restaurant is not too crowded. The waitress was nice and friendly. They serve chip with dip which not spicy while we were waitting. I tried the combos with 3 items : Taco, Echilada, and Chimichaga with ground beef. But only Taco had a good taste, 2 others were too salty. My husband ordered Burrito Verde. The taste was quite strange to us, but not bad.

Our server was the redeeming quality of this place. She was kind, charming and provided perfect service.The food looked amazing, but the chicken and veggies were very bland, but the steak was amazing.The atmosphere was good, not very loud.What I absolutely didn't like was that the table was very sticky and dirty. I wiped it with a towelette I had, and I posted the photo of how dirty it was.To summarize, it would be better if the food was seasoned just a bit more and the tables were cleaned, otherwise it was enjoyable.

The enchiladas suiza were good, and the added on deep fried jalapeños were a nice addition. I also added garlic shrimp on the side but they were flavorless and cold. While the serving staff was friendly they really didn't check on me much.

I ordered the enchiladas. They no longer come with a side of rice and beans. You have to order them separately. The lettuce was low quality. The salsa was low quality. It was more of a sauce instead of salsa.The waitress and hostess were very friendly.Edit: I had to pick several pieces of “rusted” (old) wilted lettuce from my meal. A majority of the lettuce was fine. Maybe just a one off this time?

Yhall need a new hostess. The hostess is the first impression for the restaurant, the hostess on Friday, February 23, was very rude. However the rest of the staff for the night was amazing. Very attentive and nice. The food was mediocre at best. We will come back but just for drinks. Their drink menu here did not disappoint and the atmosphere is nice.

We were happy to find a place which is open after 7pm, as many places close early in this town. We are also limited by gluten allergies. Tacos are a safe go-to anywhere we travel with that limitation. I expected more I guess from a mom and pop Mexican joint. The chicken and pork tacos were just ok...nothing special. The pork in particular was dry, but we were hungry so we scarfed them down anyway. As it gets cold quick on the island, once the sun starts getting low, I was chilly and ordered a coffee with whiskey and whipped cream. I'm a whimp, so it was too strong alcohol tasting for my like. I should have said make it weak...that's on me. The seats look good but collapse and are hard. I hope they look at fixing that sometime. The server we had was friendly, helpful (actually brought a pitcher of water when I stated I would need a pitcher...more rare than it should be) and he made our visit better.

There were six in our party. The waitress was super sweet. Three of us asked for our meals made slightly different. Two of us vegan (they have jack fruit tacos). They were really accommodating and remembered everyone's orders.The food was excellent.

We came in as a party of five. We were seated quickly, the hostess was polite. The waitress we were seated with was dismissive and rude. When asked about dietary restrictions, they essentially said, "sorry, everything is cross contaminated, and fried in canola oil, you're out of luck."The dietary restriction is soy and dairy, so we don't really know why the canola oil was mentioned. I went up to the hostess to ask for some clarification, stating that I was looking for an allergy menu, and that the dietary restrictions were soy and dairy. Her first response was that everything is fried in peanut oil, so soy should be fine. Regardless of who is right, the other person is wrong, and both of them just immediately responding is incredibly suspect.The hostess said she would go to the back and check with the kitchen staff, and came back to the table to share that the only thing available was the vegetables. There was no protein options mentioned, meat or beans, or even the impossible meat (which I now know is soy free).She said that they weren't able to use a separate pan to prepare anything, which makes me wonder if they are using the same pans over and over again? Are they not washing the pans between uses?Also, she recommend that our party member with the dietary restriction order a veggie quesadilla. Last I checked, the very base of a quesadilla is cheese, which they can't order because it's dairy...The restaurant is busy, but not full. There are 5 unbussed/cleaned tables, and 3 employees standing at the hostess stand hanging around doing nothingWe placed an order for 5 entrees at 7:36The food arrived at 7:55We ordered 2 carne asada, 1 mole enchilada, 1 burrito, and then a dietary salad.The dietary salad came kinda sad, but the hostess brought out additional avocado and a vinaigrette that had been double checked by the kitchen as being okay. On a scale of 1-5, our party member rated it as a 4The carne asada was good. The rice was kinda dry, but that happens with rice under a heat lamp even for half a minute.The burrito was good.The mole enchiladas were good, but a little cold.About halfway through the meal, they switched our server. Our replacement server was very nice.

Really enjoyed the seafood pasta I got - tons of decadent flavor and big chunks of seafood. The fish and chips were pretty solid, the happy hour oysters and sliders were great, and the clams were yummy although we decided we still prefer their mussels. Definitely gets very busy at dinnertime and a number of people stopping in were turned off by the 35-45 minute estimated wait time so show up earlier, or hope you get lucky like we were. Seemed short staffed, probably due to covid reasons, so be patient with them - the staff are very friendly and doing their best :)

Loved the bay shrimp salad - great portion.We tried the baked salmon bites - good portion, nice with beer. The fish and chips were ok. The happy hour menu is not very exciting.

Loved the fresh oysters and beer battered halibut here! They had a lot of different oyster options so we had to try one of each. The Deep Bay oyster was enormous and fun to try.The beer battered halibut was perfectly crispy with a generous amount of fish. We also got a refreshing iceberg wedge with blue cheese, bacon, and tomatoes.

Clam chowder - Great warm hot soup. The chowder had great portions of meat inside, but the bread was rock hard.Halibut Fish and chips 🐟🍟- The fish skin on the outside was overcooked and a bit burnt. The inside was soft and tender though. The fries were sooo good very crunchy and soft.Clams - Great flavoring, they were verytasty, but very expensive as usual with clams.Salad 🥗- The salad was also really well flavored. The blue cheese was very creamy the dressing also went well together with all of it. It was also really cool that the lettuce was from the owner's garden.Pasta 🍝 - The pasta was really watery for some reason, but had great seasoning and flavor. The shrimp was really good and was cooked to perfection.Oyster 🦪- Not exactly sure how a oyster is supposed to taste but it was okay. Very raw, tastes like you took a sip of diluted ocean salt water.Seasonal fruit hand pie baked fresh everyday with Chantilly creme 🥧- toasty and delicious, great jam flavor and the pasty was great. The creme was also the right amount of sweetness.

I absolutely loved dining here for my husband's birthday dinner! We had a lovely time. The kitchen here knows their spice! The bloody mary with candied bacon was almost a whole meal in and of itself, so keep that in mind if you order that with food. I also got oysters, and I'd say they were the most fresh oysters I've ever had. If there's one thing I would recommend over anything else on the menu, its the cold smoked salmon bites! Will definitely visit here again!

Really loved this place. The smells were amazing as soon as you walked in! Worth the travel for some good quality seafood and friendly service. The clam chowder is the best we have had and we’ve tried them all!

Not one critique. Excellent food, service and atmosphere. Fresh brewed ice tea that was perfectly made was a pleasant surprise. Homemade whipped cream on a tasty dessert was the perfect ending to a nice lunch experience.

I ordered Fryed Northwest Oysters, Dungeness Crab Cakes as appitezers, and Penn Cove Manila Clams for entree. They were so tasty. The Fryed Northwest Oysters is my favourite. Highly recommened this one if you can not eat fresh oyster like me. The food here is a bit pricey, maybe because of the restaurant's location. But if you want to try it once, it's worth a try.What makes me feel inconvenient was they won't let you reservation on their website. It's first come, first serve. So I had to go to the restaurant to tell them I wanted to be on the waiting list. Because the space is quite small but there are many customers, I waited outside 25-35 minutes to be seated. If you park nearby, you can wait in your car. If you park quite far away, you will have to walk around while waiting.

Al pastor was spiced well (not spicy but flavored) and juicy. Of course the pineapple was a welcomed bite with the pork. I visited rocket taco on a recent getaway from the city. Overall my experience was nice. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was ok.

Whidbey Island has its charms, but as far as food goes you stick to the basics.Fortunately Rocket Taco opened up a restaurant in Freeland, and it is a pleasant surprise that stands out - an island of flavor in an ocean of basic.To set expectations, it's not a standout compared to Mexican in SoCal, or Texas, or Chicago, but it is above average for the PacNW, and makes a big impression on Whidbey.I would not hesitate to recommend.

Bad food. Rude staff. We had a large order and only 1 out of 6 people enjoyed their food. Stay away from the tortilla soup, tasted like it was out of a can. And stay away from any deluxe tacos. The red onions are not prepared with the traditional Mexican flavors. They had an overpowering flavor of cinnamon or allspice, tasted like Christmas-y red onions and ruined the tacos. The chips and guacamole were good but they were straight out of a bag from Costco. Maybe the person that took our order, Jessa, was having an off day but she was the rudest person we’ve come across at a restaurant in a long time. In hindsight we should have hung up when she flipped attitude about making sure she had the chips and guacamole were on the order.

Delicious tacos in a small but cozy space. The vegetarian ones are fantatsic and full of flavor. The pico de gallo salsa is spot on but the other red one is smoky, more like a bbq sauce. All dishes are fresh and light. Helpful staff.

It’s a bit pricy, but the quesadilla was huge and yummy. I got the chickpea and cauliflower veggie option and it was good. Seating is very limited and there is no restroom but a porta potty close by.

A beloved Langley establishment. Rich, smooth, refined dark or regular chocolates, created daily in the kitchen off the side of the main shop. Many choices, but the sea-salt caramels and the turtles (caramel-pecan clusters) will make you swoon. Shipping available.

I have to crave chocolate to have some, every time I come here I have an insane craving. The truffles are to die for, melt in your mouth. They have coffee as well, everything is made there. If your visiting the island this is a must. The staff has never done me wrong when choosing my truffles :) <3

Services is great. Cool selection for chocolates and ice cream. Gotta try out the rice flavor.

We walked around town and stopped to get gelato. My friend also go chocolate to take home. I got coconut gelato. It was good. It tasted like coconut and it has coconut flake. It is creamy.

This place is a 5 stars for me because although I didn't like their Lavender chocolate truffle (needs more lavender), I absolutely LOVE their dark chocolate pecan crunch bars. I'll be stopping by here on other Whidbey adventures, perhaps to try something new but definitely coming back for their bars.

The staff is friendly and helpful. They offer to-go, inside and outdoor seating. After there is plenty to walk around and see around the Cafe. I had a mocha with whipped cream and it was amount the top mocha I've had. The Chai tea was fantastic. One of the most beautiful cafes I've been to.

We were on the way to Langley. The place looks very cute. We ordered avocado toast and chicken salad sandwich. The food was good. Fresh avocado, the toast was good, added eggs and bacon. Chicken salad sandwich has walnut and apple slices. Side salad was good. It has indoor and outdoor seatings. It has good coffee. Self serve water.

Incredible. I had the breakfast plate- they give you plenty of bacon, the eggs were delicious and the potatoes were well seasoned. The sweets are also just fantastic. You can have your dog outside on the patio and the environment is so relaxing.

A brilliant idea to make a day out of the Bayview plaza. The coffee shop has beautiful outdoor seating with amazing plants all over. The baked goods and coffee are quite tasty. The one thing I found disappointing was their menu. I went with an elderly friend for lunch and most of the menu did not appeal to her. It is almost completely sandwiches with a few non-sandwhich things. It would be nice if they diversified just a bit more so there was something for everyone. With that being said, those sandwiches were some of the best I've ever had. The Reuben is phenomenal and they plate beautifully!

Meh, I’m not one for this sort of vibe/crowd so I had to be convinced to coming here at first, then I saw the line and had to be convinced even more, then saw the menu and had to be convinced a third time! I was really close to giving this place 3 stars because of all that in addition to their mediocre tasting food, but the scenery, cleanliness and how hard they were trying got this to 4 stars. There’s usually a line when I pass by this place so fair warning there. And it’s menu is pretty small, basically just sandwiches…that taste like ones you could make at home sooo I don’t know. But hey, its fresh, clean, has fun drinks and pastries, they’re definitely on to something. Not a must try on the island, but if in the area and need some sandwiches, try it out. (FYI I also don’t like complaining about small cute businesses like these so this is weird/rare for me but had to be done, all love and respect.)

There is good wifi and plenty of seating room. There is a bakery with plenty of to-go options and coffee — the almond croissant was excellent. Strongly recommend.

This place is so good you will seek out Coupeville just to go here. Stunning sandwiches, amazing wine and snacks, and a wonderfully friendly staff. There is nothing better in life than sitting in the patio at Bayleaf, drinking a cold glass of white wine and eating a French ham and Brie sandwich

My first and last experience at this store was atrocious. If you are plus size and any shade other than white you will not enjoy this store. The employees give eye rolls and attitudes when you ask a question. The only kind employee was at the register. I have money but dress humbly and to be made feel inferior when I just wanted to do some shopping on a trip is very disheartening. I chose to take my business elsewhere. There is a lot of judgment and feeling looked down upon. Customers keep the doors open not snobby employees. The owner needs to retrain them on how to treat EVERYONE equally and not discriminate.

Customer service is top notch! 👌 I came in to put together some goodies for my sister's birthday and I must have looked like a deer in headlights. I'm sorry I didn't catch the lady's name, but I had the sweetest lady put together a whole basket for me based on my price point. I will definitely shop here again!

What a great place to kick back and enjoy fantastic Wine and Food before or after a day of hanging out in beautiful Whidbey and the area. They have a huge variety of food and wine. In addition, Beth and her staff are fabulous people. Friendly and very knowledgable. Dia (Might be spelled wrong) is fantastic. The boards they serve to just sit outside the shop and feast go so well with any wine you may choose. A great cheese and meat selection are available in addition to great bread, gifts and ambiance. We look forward to going back there sometime. If in Coupeville, you must go to Bayleaf and grab something. And while there, don't forget to say hi to Beth and Staff!

Good little community grocery and general store. We like to ride our bikes into town and grab some snacks here before heading down to Seawall Park for a little break when the weather is nice.It's also good for picking up a few things in between larger grocery trips on-island. They carry Sea Biscuit breads, Oatley, Effie's Oat Cakes, and some other specialty items we love that aren't available at the Red Apple. Their produce selection is pretty good and the deli case usually has some great salads (love the tuna pasta salad), and fried chicken (juicy and delicious in our experience) as well.We don't have much personal need for the clothing/general store side, but it's nice that it's there and some of our visiting family members have found souvenir items to take home. We're happy to have this resource in our little downtown area!

General mercantile store in downtown Langley with grocery, deli, clothing, home decor and souvenirs for sale.Good stop for stocking up on provisions if you are in Langley. A little cramped because of the variety of merchandise in a small location but still interesting to visit and browse around.The deli is great to order from for a picnic by the beach (picnic tables are available by the breakwater). Prices are higher than regular stores in the mainland as expected.

This was one of my favorite stores of the day. Groceries on one side (found some really yummy ginger crisps/cookies). The other side has gifts, clothes, etc. Upstairs had children’s clothes, adult shoes, fun games and toys. I received help from three different people and they were all kind and friendly. Will definitely find a way to return another time.

This is one of my go to store for gifts and for treating myself, and I live a ferry ride away. Beautiful, inexpensive jewelry, cute hats and gloves, kitchen items, tons of clothing, nic-nacs and decorations...its electric and tasteful with quality products. I always make a bee-line to the Star Store whenever I come to Langley. Great little grocery attached (albeit expensive) with lots of international items as well. Such a great little town to meander through and enjoy the cafe and restaurant scene and gorgeous views of the sound. Watch for whales! And Bunnies! Fluffy bunnies of all colors abound throughout town.

Beautiful store, wonderful selection of food when the other half is closed, wonderful atmosphere…But after hours of hiking, I was looking at my phone to take my wife somewhere nice for dinner while we were checking out, and the blonde girl behind the counter must have taken offense to me being on my phone - because she looked at my wife and said “YOU have a good day”, and slammed the paper bag on the counter in front of me to carry, locking eye contact with me with an upset look on her face. Pretty sour experience to end a good day on vacation.Sorry for whatever I did. Hope you have a nice weekend.

Savory (a restaurant) is a great spot in Langley. We felt right at home in the squashy dinner chairs. The view from every seat in the house is breathtaking. The cheese plate featured the best products I have tasted anywhere. My salmon dish with wild rice...OUT OF THIS WORLD! The owners were great to chat with and I love their story. Such a great place and dinner. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

All around Excellent! Cozy and incredibly delicious. The staff is lovely and every bite mouthwatering. We enjoyed the last of the warm, summer nights on the deck overlooking the water. With the fire pit burning it was magical.

Really cozy spot to get some great food with a cozy and classy atmosphere. They don't take reservations, but you can always call ahead to check wait times + have an open table held for 15 minutes if they've got one, or get your name written down on their list. Really enjoyed my salmon with wild rice, and their daily roasted veggies were the perfect texture with an amazing tahini harissa sauce drizzled on top with pine nuts. The rotating specials sounded super good too, but were sold out tonight. Definitely worth a fancy night out in Langley!

Most splendid dinner with such attention to detail by the owners! Pork was incredibly tender and paired with perfect rice blend. Salad was great and chocolate cake was worth breaking the diet for. I highly recommend this lovely restaurant and looking forward to our next meal there!

My wife and I were fortunate to walk in and find a table of 2 immediately last night. From start to finish the entire meal was fantastic. Jim, our waiter, was very attentive, and another waiter had an eye on us at (what felt like) all times. We ordered a charcuterie board appetizer with a bottle of Chemistry Pinot Gris to start, followed by a pair of Cesar Salads and a baguette with garlic parmesan spread, a Smoked Salmon Pasta as well as their Pork dish, and for desert my wife had the Chocolate Duo while I had a Lemon Curd with blueberries. It was a very enjoyable experience. Made the end our night sublime.

Stephan and staff catered our intimate wedding on June 18, 2022. The food is always the most important feature to a wedding and Savory hit it out of the park. Everything was delicious and every guest complimented us on our choice of caterer. The next time you are in Langley, WA on Whidbey Island, a meal at Savory is a must.

I feel lucky to have been able to come here! They only have very few tables, we arrived right after they opened at 4:30pm on Saturday and got one of the very last ones, definitely go early to avoid a wait. The restaurant has a romantic atmosphere and is very cozy.Had the smoked salmon appetizer which was refreshing and the Mafalda Carbonara for the entree which had a strong prosciutto taste, I enjoyed it but if you don’t like prosciutto then skip this dish. Loved the Savory Sparkler (sparkling wine with fruit juice)!

The person working the counter was so so charming. I asked them if ketchup came on the burger and they said “gross no” and I immediately was won over. The burger was awesome. There is outdoor seating. It seemed like it was just locals. One person working the counter and cooking so come with some patience / expect to wait for your food.

Best burgers on the south end. Trivia, live music, excellent selection of cold beer and hot women.The"Real" southend of Whidbey Island.

What a unique and charming place, full of character, and it's well worth going off the beaten track to find good food and beer selection, as well as everything (gas and coffee included) you could need at a corner-store. We enjoy live music nights, with outstanding bands on a regular basis, on their outdoor stage under beautiful tall trees in the summer, or in their cozy but spacious indoor area in winter. A fantastic experience all round.

We had a very fun night out at Bailey's. The food was good. They had a great tap list. And the trivia night was a lot of fun, with a really great (unique) format and host. All of the locals were very welcoming and friendly to two visitors. We'll definitely go back on our next trip to Whidbey!

If not it's then how did they know everybody the served?Well there are too many coffee shops for this type of service and we left realizing our coffee wouldn't be very good anyhow.But really do you expect this type of service when you get coffee?This is our experience on 7/23 about 1:30pm, yours may differ but we would recommend avoiding this place until this is corrected.

Cute coffee spot in a charming area. The coffee wasn't amazing for me but the pastry I had was delicious.In fact I just went there because another visitor girl I talked to while exploring, recommended I tried dije feta/spinach scone.Great recommendation!Also really cool conversation starters. Although not so sure about the marriage one if you're there on a first date 😝

Loved this little hidden eatery so much. The setting is beautiful, it's intimate and the food was so good. We had the clams, pork belly and kale salad.

Great place for drinks and small bites! Atmosphere and view of Penn Cove are amazing. Hidden gem in downtown Coupeville, find the staircase outside near the Mexican restaurant.

I'm reluctant to leave a review simply because I want to keep this hidden gem a secret for our own pleasure whenever we're in Coupeville... but these good people deserve all the attention they can get.THE co*ckTAILS: I am picky. And if I am going to drink, it needs to be well worth it. I was so pleasantly amused and delighted by the representation, the balance, the perfect bitterness and distant sweetness of their special co*cktail of the evening. It was EXACTLY what I needed. My husband had their Old Fashioned and was astonished.THE FOOD: We only had the Overboard platter, vegetarian, and they NAILED IT. The ingredients were all honored in a beautiful and delicate way. None of the flavors were overbearing or flashy, everything tasted as it should leaving room for the ingredients to shine. The bread was filling and we left slightly lifted and feeling full.THE VIEW: In combination with the intimate space, it elevated the experience to sheer perfection.We're just tired of having to sort through pizza joints with so-so plates and humdrum crust, fried seafood restaurants that can be found everywhere, Burgers (FFS, just NO), freezer food, unimaginative fare... it's just so tiring.Overboard gave us an experience that was so special. Our appreciation is immense. As much as I want to keep this little secret to ourselves, we have to let the cat out of the bag to be sure this place thrives for many years to come.

Beautifully crafted co*cktails on the water! Is there anything better?The place was very cute and gave “refined rustic hole-in-the-wall” vibes.

SUCH a special experience! By this we mean: clear bay view (while the sun is out), truly creative + (essential) mastery of food combinations. Truly some of the more inventive gastronomic + mixology tastes we’ve tried (and we’re old + well traveled so have tried a lot). We’re here off-season so hope for consumers’ sake it doesn’t get overcrowded, but if it does, it’s very much deserved on the part of these intrepid entrepreneurs.
