DIY Frozen Dog Treats Tips and Tricks

  • Before you make any homemade dog treats for your pet, be sure they do not have any allergies or food issues. You don’t want a nice treat for your god to turn into a hefty vet bill.
  • Test out the treat by first giving the dog a small portion of the treats. Wait a few days to make sure they don’t have any problems digesting the food.
  • Store your treats in a zip-top freezer bag to extend the shelf life of the treats, and help keep them fresh for up to 4 months.
  • Do not serve your dog treats that are freezer burnt, or past the above-mentioned shelf life. The ingredients might have gone bad, which can cause stomach issues for your pet.
  • Feel free to take any of these recipes and change them up to make them your own, and fit the preferences of your dog. Just make sure any replacements you use are still dog-friendly ingredients.
  • Sweeten with fruit. Never use any kind of artificial sweetener when you make a sweet treat for your dogs.
  • Give only a little bit at first. The first time you give your dog a new type of food, watch for any signs of food sensitivities.

My dog loves to eat chocolate flavored ice cream. In addition, fruit is an accompaniment to every meal. For fruit I had to put in the refrigerator for more than 5 hours to cool. Next I’m going to peel, the only thing left for Pope is to eat.
