An excellent new guide on museum interpretation providing a wealth of practical guidance based on a wealth of experience. The emphasis on a strategic approach to interpretation is particularly important and the recognition that interpretation is not static but needs to change - often rapidly - in the light of new research and new developments is to be welcomed. As such, it is important to draw a distinction between displays and exhibitions as part of an interpretation strategy and to consider the balance between them and their longevity.
